Most high school students worry about getting to class on time or dealing with that younger sibling, but 17 of Dawson County High School's biggest students proved they had a softer side.

The Dawson County High School Tigers spent their morning Aug. 28 helping students at Robinson Elementary School by opening car doors in the morning as well as reading to classes.

The students were sent over by Tigers Head Coach Sid Maxwell as a way to help the students connect across age groups.

"It is a great partnership that we plan on continuing with all of the high school programs," said Robinson Elementary Principal Kim Bennett. "[DCHS Principal Richard] Crumley and I both agree that this is a great opportunity for both schools and that the kids can all learn from each other."
